Avore Electric, a Gujarat-based startup in the EV space, has made its presence felt in the Indian electric motorcycle market by rolling out its first-ever EX series range. The company offers the EX1, EX2, and the top-of-the-line EX2S variants at prices beginning from INR 1.25 lakh for the first 10,000 buyers.
Catering to both urban and long-distance commuters, these new electric motorcycles boast a combination of modern design, connectivity features, long range, and rapid charging. Online booking for these vehicles has opened up all over India, with an initial booking cost of INR 799 only.

Three Variants for Different Riders

While all the three models have the same design philosophy, they stand apart in terms of battery size, performance, range, and feature set.
The EX1 comes as the entry-level model equipped with a 3.24 kWh battery capacity offering IDC certified mileage of 160 km. The model targets people who want a cheap but powerful electric bike for their commute to work.
Coming next in the product range is the EX2, which comes with a bigger 5 kWh battery capacity, allowing an IDC certified mileage of 255 km but retaining the top speed of 100 kmph.
The EX2S sits atop the line-up, equipped with the same battery pack as its predecessor, the EX2, but with some additional software and hardware tweaks that allow it to reach a top speed of 114 kmph and cover a distance of 260 km.

Fast Charging Support

Charging time depends on the model.
The EX1 can be charged to 20% to 80% in three hours using the 750W charger installed on it from a normal household socket that offers 5A.
The EX2 and EX2S models have faster charging capabilities, whereby you can charge your bike from 20% to 80% in about two hours using a 15A power outlet.
Design and Colour Options
The EX range takes inspiration from the streetfighter sports design, which includes aggressive bodywork, muscle-like panels, and beacon-style lights.

Bookings Open Across India
Avore is now accepting bookings for the motorcycle via its authorized booking portal using an INR 799 booking amount. As per the company, the motorcycle has been in research and development for almost three years before starting production.
As mentioned by Founder Priyank Rakholiya, the company concentrated on developing electric mobility technology that is competitive globally, while taking care of its safety, reliability, and affordability for Indian customers.
Final Thoughts
As the price point is as low as Rs. 1.25 lakhs, the Avore EX series makes its way into the fast-growing category of high-end electric motorcycles. This motorcycle is supposed to go up against other models, including the Revolt RV400, Revolt RVX, Oben Rorr Evo, and Ultraviolette Shockwave.
